Colour and the Urban Landscape
£23.00
You will first go out and draw the urban landscape of the Barbican, then learn to simplify forms to create a sense of movement and space.
Back in the art room, you will study the effects of colour and how they advance or recede in space, depending on background and structure. Mark will show works by Hans Hofmann and explain some of his key ideas.
Through practical exercises in colour mixing and small colour studies, you will build knowledge to make your own painting based on your drawings or develop them into an abstract painting.
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as experienced artists.
