Be a Printmaker in One Day

In this workshop we will learn some print making skills that can be used again and again, even at you own kitchen table. We will make card prints, mono prints and simple etchings on plastic.

You will begin with a drawing from life session, from a table of natural forms. You will create simple designs from your drawings and make card prints by cutting and sticking shapes onto a base board.

You will then explore imaginative imagery through some quick exercises to unlock your creativity. From these we will make some ‘narrative’ prints using simple etching and mono print techniques.

By the end of the workshop we will have learnt three methods of printmaking and created some lovely prints.

Suitable for anyone, the starting point will be drawing from natural forms.

1-day workshop, 10:00 to 16:00 (with 1 hour lunch break)
