Monday Collage Class

Collage is fun because it's a playful, low-pressure way to create, allowing for easy experimentation with materials like paper, photos and fabric to tell stories, explore new ideas and express feelings that are hard to put into words, offering endless visual surprises and a chance to repurpose everyday items into something unique.

You will learn strategies and experiment with the technique of collage. We will look into its history and test multiple approaches that you will be able to apply into your own work.

Suitable for all levels, including beginners.

MATERIALS

Scissors, scalpel

Glue stick and pva glue

Masking tape

A3 sketchpad

Optional: cutting mat, coloured paper, fabric scraps

Keep an eye out for interesting scraps! Music scores, pages of an old book, newspapers in various alphabets, wrapping paper bits, etc.
